Description

This course is an introduction to Children's Literature and will offer a general survey of the history and development of children's literature. Students will be introduced to various genres of literature written for children and adolescents, including folk and fairy tales, picture books, classical myths & legends, and the children's novel. Students will explore and critically analyze many of the most common themes associated with preteen and adolescent literature.
