Description
This course is an introduction to the art of creative expression. Types of writing may include poetry, short stories, imaginative essays, and plays. The class offers opportunity for self-expression.

“C” or higher in ENG 100.

- Discuss and analyze the methods, devices, and stylistics of other writers in an effort to refine their own unique writing voice.
- Demonstrate proficiency in each stage of the writing process, including invention, creation, and revision.
- Provide constructive feedback to peers as well as effectively respond to feedback.
- Apply concepts and techniques associated with specific genres of creative writing, which may include fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama.
- Demonstrate an enhanced understanding and appreciation for the artistry of the written word.
