Description
This course is a continuation of SPAN 201 with an emphasis on conversation, listening, as well as instruction in grammar, reading, and writing.
Prerequisites
“C” or higher in SPAN 201.
Course Student Learning Outcomes (CSLOs)
- Respond appropriately in Spanish to questions based on a conversation between two speakers of native fluency discussing a pre-determined subject.
- Converse in Spanish in simple sentences with a speaker of native fluency on subjects covered in class.
- Read contemporary Spanish prose which uses familiar vocabulary, and demonstrate comprehension of it in Spanish.
- Write a paragraph in Spanish on a pre-determined topic using the vocabulary and grammatical structure of the text.
- Identify and describe elements of Spanish life and culture covered in the materials presented in class. Compare and contrast observations with those of the home culture.
